You are a really good writer...however Tim Burton likes to brag- a factor for me that let the movie down as he hinted towards his other great movies, such as edward scissorhands and the shaped hedges. As for Johnny Depp i felt his acting was not as good as it could have been- and in fact Tim Burton had set out to make the hatter scene extremely sinister however themes of love shone through more so...
Other than that just wanted to let you know that wow i like your writing :)
Enjoy :)
I couldn't put it better myself and I know that for a fact that I can't. You pulled out every aspect of the movie and said exactly what was wrong with it.
I say, that your review said exactly what I was thinking. You pulled it out of my head.
It is a perfect review!
Wonderful review of a wonderful movie. I agreed with nearly all that you said. Your comments on Anne Hathaway's performance, however, I do not. When I watched the film, I noticed a few subtleties about her character, like how when she was with her subjects she kept her hands afloat in the air, but when the hound came to her and she was alone, she lost her "professional" air and rushed over to him.
That's just what I thought. I enjoyed reading what you wrote - it has incredible insight, into the actual movie and into the actors/characters. <3
I thought this movie was amazing, like other people have been saying. I didn't see it in 3D because I don't like watching 3D movies; they give me headaches. But, nonetheless, the movie was good and everything about it was magical.
And Anne Hathaway's character was... okay. I didn't like the White Queen at all.
ı saw the movie last week and it was ah-mazing! I have always loved the story but i mean Tim Burton is the director!!! ıt was marvellous, inspiring and it deffinetly effected me very much. im a fiction-lover and this is one of the greatest stories of all times and this is the best version of it with great actors e.t.c. loved it.. i cant describe
I loved the movie it was really good i went to see it the day it came out and the girl who plays Alice is from the same place as i live. which i think is pretty awesome :D yeah completely off the subject. i'd give it about 4 out of 5 :)
This movie was very good. At the end when she came back, was a great part, better than I thought it would be. People who went to see it before me told me about the end and I thought it was some big joke. But then when I saw it, I thought it was great. She was putting faces to the strange characters in the rabbit hole. As an example, the twin girls, as the twin boys. I could place all the faces but one. The Hatter, who was played ALMOST perfectly. Was he Alice or Alice's father. The proof I have of him being Alice is when he is making the Red Queen hats and he asks Alice is he was mad and she quoted her father. But there is no further proof of this. But then through out the movie there is occurrence where you would think, The Hatter is just a strange image of her father. But either way, it would make scene.
But to this movie, I give a 5 star rating.
I couldn't agree more. I loved how they put up another sequel to Alice in Wonderland. It's pretty much amazing. x] though I don't recall, what did the hatter last said to Alice before disappearing?? Hmmp. :3
Personally, I didn't much care for it.
I dressed up as a hatter and everything with my friends to go see this movie, and out of the whole group I was the only one disappointed. But that's just me, I guess. There were few funny parts and I think a few of the real-life bits lacked character backgrounds. But again, oh well.
Oooo Nice article, indeed. It really describes how some people feel, too.
And yes, this is just like.. lacking the director's touch. At first I thought this would be different since Tim (my fav director) did the movie. But it had something to do with the willy wonka movie, which I hate. And the Jabber Wockey... I don't know what to say about him.. dissapointing and he lacked a lot of scary + bloody touch.
