I liked the movie, even though it got kinda boring in some places, I still love the ending. My cousin and uncle were cracking me up with how they tried to figure out the end!

I loved the movie, I was a bit confused at the end, but after a minute I caught on. It was amazing, I can't wait to read the book now.

I was the only one out of my friends who loved this movie.
Probably I was the only one who understood it....

The ending blew me away when I read the book, and I was still impressed by the way it was portrayed in the movie. This was the closest a movie has ever been to its book counterpart thus far (IMO). I loved it! Leo DiCaprio was great too; glad he's got some of his game back.

I didn't like it. It wasn't horrible; it just ended in a twist that seemed a little too tidy. It really couldn't have ended any other way that made sense, but I do realize that because it was based on a book, the unsatisying ending (for me anyway) was because of the book.

I thought it was an average film, but to each his own I guess.

However, Leonardo DiCaprio's Boston accent very forced and unnatural. Michelle Williams wasn't any better. It made the movie really hard for me to enjoy.

I loved the movie. :D It left me thinking about it for hours. Two thumbs up for me. The ending left bits and pieces up to the audience's imagination, which I found rather clever.

I read the book and thought the movie did a decent job of following it.
I actually enjoyed this movie a lot-- it was entertaining and made you think.

As for the ending, the vagueness is well placed-- make your own assumption, that's the point.

    Two thumbs up. Great movie.

I love how everyone's all confused about the ending.
I think there wasn't a certain answer, but it's up to the viewers imagination.
    Brilliant. :D

I loved this movie. The dream sequences were truly beautiful and I love how the director kept setting up scenes where you expected to jump but then you didn't. And that final line... amazing.

Great article. Most people think Shutter Island sucks because they simply don't understand it - I loved it.

Shutter Island i didnt feel was good. Although the technical side of it was great (note-lighting was insane :] ) the story side was not, the ending did not satisfy me at all and i picked the ending halfway through... ...do you agree?

Wow! This is a fantastic article, definitely one of the best I've read.
I've been very wishy-washy about seeing this film. It looks like my kind of movie, but the only review I could get from somebody who had seen it was one from my brother. And all he had to say was: "It's really bad; there was too much thinking."
    So..
    Haha, you've convinced me.
    I'll see it!
