I liked the movie, even though it got kinda boring in some places, I still love the ending. My cousin and uncle were cracking me up with how they tried to figure out the end!
The ending blew me away when I read the book, and I was still impressed by the way it was portrayed in the movie. This was the closest a movie has ever been to its book counterpart thus far (IMO). I loved it! Leo DiCaprio was great too; glad he's got some of his game back.
ohhh, i have not yet seen the movie. TT___TT
but i was cponvinced with your article! its fantastic! i feel like i wanna download the movie and watch it right away.XD
I didn't like it. It wasn't horrible; it just ended in a twist that seemed a little too tidy. It really couldn't have ended any other way that made sense, but I do realize that because it was based on a book, the unsatisying ending (for me anyway) was because of the book.
I thought it was an average film, but to each his own I guess.
However, Leonardo DiCaprio's Boston accent very forced and unnatural. Michelle Williams wasn't any better. It made the movie really hard for me to enjoy.
I loved the movie. :D It left me thinking about it for hours. Two thumbs up for me. The ending left bits and pieces up to the audience's imagination, which I found rather clever.
ok, this movie confused the shxt out of me. can some just tell me, was he crazy in the end or not... people say he really was crazy, but i also feel he wasnt that they wanted him to believe he was but i dont know. someone tell me!!!!
i really enjoyed the movie, even though i didn't read the book which is probably better, but damn i was so fucking confused it was hilarious. me and my niece were watching it and guessing all of the parts that were coming up next and it was true, and then the damn movie played us and turned out to be the exact opposite. it was epic<3
I loved this movie. The dream sequences were truly beautiful and I love how the director kept setting up scenes where you expected to jump but then you didn't. And that final line... amazing.
Shutter Island i didnt feel was good. Although the technical side of it was great (note-lighting was insane :] ) the story side was not, the ending did not satisfy me at all and i picked the ending halfway through... ...do you agree?
Wow! This is a fantastic article, definitely one of the best I've read.
I've been very wishy-washy about seeing this film. It looks like my kind of movie, but the only review I could get from somebody who had seen it was one from my brother. And all he had to say was: "It's really bad; there was too much thinking."
So..
Haha, you've convinced me.
I'll see it!
