A+ movie!
Best in the series as far as a die hard fan is concerned! Incredibly close to the book (3 missed scenes, 1 added I believe?), superb script, and as I understand it, easier for non-book lovers to follow. Oh and, BILL NIGHY! He totally made up for Helena Bonham Carter's -unpopular opinion- shocking acting.

Oh, and that Scabior bloke, not bad either... ;)

This was an amazing movie to watch! I think this was the most touching and emotional potter movie yet. The ending was kind of short and fast like they ran out of time and needed to end fast. There was some funny scenes in this as well as some scary ones. I can't wait for this to come out on dvd and I am definatly going to part 2.
your review was very awsome and touching!!

I really loved this movie. It was one of my favourites in the series, and it was a million times better than Half-Blood Prince. I have to disagree slightly, though, and say that I cannot abide Bonnie Wright as an actress. She plays Ginny, but still as though she's only ten or eleven years old. She seems to just be speaking her lines all the time, not actually acting them, and it really annoys me that out of all the perfectly respectable young actresses, they picked her. I understand that she was pretty good for her age when they first cast her - I think it was in Philosopher's Stone; she wasn't on for long - but really, I don't much like Ginny's character in the movies as opposed to how much I liked her in the books.

I would have really enjoyed it if they had shown when Ron had the whole light thing going on... that would have been a very good break from the camping stuff, which did drag on a bit.

Dobby was so funny, though. It made me sad when... yeah. And Hedwig, too. What a great bird.

There were some bits that were I think hard for people to understand if they hadn't read the books, but it was amazing.
I agree with the special effects though. The story of the Deathly Hallows was amazingly well done.

I honestly like this review. It's honest and definitely true.
Am I the only one who absolutely loves George? >.<
I loved the movie and saw it two nights ago, after running into Nick Santino.
It was amazing, and I see what you mean about how they missed some things.
The books are amazing, but the movie was too.
I'd give it four stars.

It's my favorite of all the movies, and I think they did a fabulous part on it, although the Malfoy mansion scene seemed a bit too fast...

I agree with everything you've said with both the positives and negatives. The end also made me cry as well, Dobby is a truly an epic character.

My favourite part of the movie was the re-telling of the Tale of Three Brothers, that was amazing!

I really liked your review of the movie. :) It was very well-written (putting aside a few grammatical errors here and there.)

I'm glad you added the negative stuff in the article as well. Everyone I know that has seen the movie just rave about it, but when I saw it a few days ago, I felt like something was sort of off.

You're right; the pacing was something short of good. Perhaps splitting the movies was a good idea (thank goodness they were able to keep a lot in!) but Part One of the Deathly Hallows just felt like a lot of rising tension and action . . . there was very little release for the audience.

Well, besides George with the toothbrush sticking out of his holey head. :D

Anyway, good review. Very, very good review.
