American Reunion

The American Pie series has another hit with American Reunion. This hilarious new comedy follows our favorite characters as they have a boy’s weekend in honor of their high school reunion. Though things have changed for each of the men, their friendships certainly haven’t, and it is seen through their witty banter and casual jokes. In the eighth installment of the series, viewers can laugh along with the men as they encounter high school parties, high school jerks, and high school girls.

Eugene Levy, the only actor to appear in all eight of the films, was hilarious, awkward, and brilliant. It is no secret that comedy is his strong suit, and it really showed through in this film. The rest of the cast is back in action, and each of them showed that they still know how to play their character well.

Overall, the film was funny, crude, and dare I say, charming. Yes, there were bits that left me thinking the film had some good character, even though they were covered with warped, but funny jokes. This film is clearly not for younger audiences, but it is perfect for anyone who is a little bit older, that is looking for a good laugh. If you were a fan of the originals, American Reunion will surely not disappoint.
