Jumper
The film follows the story of David Rice (Hayden Christensen). He lives with his father and has no friends at school with the exception of Millie (AnnaSophia Robb) and Jack (Gared Bennett).
When a prank goes wrong and David is facing death he somehow “jumps” and soon discovers he can jump anywhere he has either been or has visualized in a photograph. He spends the next eight years of his life freely, with no consequences. But a sinister organization headed by Roland Cox (Samuel L. Jackson) are trying to track David and others who share his ability down.
David soon meets another Jumper, a young man named Griffin (Jamie Bell) and the two are attacked by Paladins: members of the same organization as Roland, intent on killing the pair. David then learns of the centuries-old war between Jumpers and Paladins, and about how Griffin is trying to track down and kill as many of the Paladins as he can. After learning Roland will target David’s loved ones, he and Griffin team up in order to save Millie and defeat Roland once and for all.
Like most adaptations of movies Jumper has its differences, nonetheless, though the movie may not be exact to the plot of the novel it is still highly entertaining and I wouuld recommend those who enjoy action movies and Sci-Fi fans to go see it.
