I saw this movie twice, that's how much I liked it.
Even though I felt the gore factor was a bit overwhelming, all in all, I actually thought the movie was pretty good and enjoyed it.
I think my favorite part of the film was Jane Levy, she seemed to really get into her role as Mia.

They are making a sequel to Army of Darkness - Bruce Campbell has commented saying that they are trying to work out a script with Sam Raimi. I'd like the believe that this is more of a re-imagining. There have also been ideas that both of the universes will collide at some point.

i think i would of been better as a separate movie than a re-make. i really liked it but how it ened its impossible to re-make evil dead 2 or even army of darkness? they made a few million by this one and forgot that they could of madeva billion by doin att three i dont know just my opinion.. ----and if they do find a way to re-make them. good ill be happy to see them..

Yeah, my sister hated the gory parts - she's squeamish and covered her face at a few parts. I'm a gore hound and I just thought it matched the orgy of blood in the original Evil Dead's finale. Except that it wasn't claymation, it was very much a body-horror piece. I liked the serious nature, too, it matched the tone that they'd set out to achieve.

I didn't like this movie.. the gore seemed unecessary and it just didn't suit my taste in movie... the original was humorous and seemed like more of a comedy but this seemed like they jam packed as much blood as was allowed.

    2/5 rating from me.
