Stuck in Love

There are different kinds of movies that get to us –that get straight through our heart and just make us think. Think. I’m not referring to that normal tendency where we just use our brain for normal purposes which obviously make us human beings. I mean the deep kind of thinking, where we just sit there for a moment and contemplate about our life and what we’ve been doing with it. That’s what truly makes us human –the ability to decipher unsophisticated things and use that to our advantage for making us believe that we are more than just walking beings.

The movie Stuck In Love is a heartwarming masterpiece written and directed by Josh Boone. It stars Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connolley, Lily Collins, Nat Wolff, Logan Lerman and Kristen Bell.

Kinnear plays Bob Borgens who is an acclaimed writer. Although he is successful in his career, he isn’t successful with his personal life. Early in the movie, the audience is already informed that he is divorced yet isn’t over it completely. His children, Samantha and Rusty Borgens, who are portrayed by Collins and Wolff respectively, deal with love problems themselves.

We will not get a lot of twists and turns in the movie. The movie comes out straight and blunt. Yet, there is something there that will definitely pull us in; either it’s Samantha and her cynical attitude or Rusty and his hopeless romanticism. To be perfectly honest, I love both and I recommend this movie a hundred percent.
