Dr. Jan Garavaglia, better known as Dr. G, is the Orange County Medical Examiner in Florida. She has been in the field of pathology for over twenty years and served various jurisdictions. Some famous cases that Dr. G has handled in her career were The Morning Glory Case and the Caylee Anthony’s case. The Morning Glory Case had to do with a funeral parlor that kept thirty-seven bodies without burying and the bodies were in various stages of decomposition. Through her career, Dr. Garavaglia has been recognized for her outstanding work in pathology.

The show, Dr. G: Medical Examiner takes you inside the morgue of the Florida’s District Nine Medical Examiner’s office. With Dr. G as your knowledgeable hostess, she will take you step by step of a complete autopsy. The cases are as puzzling as the ones on any other crimes shows, but this time: they are real. Dr. G works on these unexplained deaths and tries to solve the mystery. Along with the autopsies, there are also interviews with the victim’s family and re-enactments of what really happened to the person in their final hours on Earth.
