I personally like Man -vs- Wild better. Bear Grylls seems to explain things a little better than Les Stroud. I don't know. I like both of them.

Survivorman is better, you know its real because he films it himself, bear grylls in man v wild has a camera crew, and you know that if he was in any real danger or really was hungry they would help him out as soon as the cameras turned off

I find Ray Mears more interesting. He doesn't tend to go for the disgusting. Plus, I don't have the discovery channel, so... ^_^

I think they're both nasty. Almost as gross as Andrew Zimmerman. Almost.

i like man vs. wild but like "Shannonymous" i side with survivorman because bear grylls has his own camera crew and also the tactics he uses are at times quite elaborate and don't seem like something a real person would do or even think of doing if lost in the wilderness, where as les stroud gives you a more realistic feel as he is alone and uses his own camera to film. also the tactics he uses seem more realistic and more like something you could imagine yourself or someone in that situation doing. like i said, i like man vs. wild so this is no offense to the artical, it was well written! Agreed.
Survivorman is a lot more interesting in my opinion and seems REAL.
With a camera crew, it's hard to figure out if he really does only get help in life or death situations or if they help him frequently.

I love Bear Grylls, but I think Survivorman does it better; he goes completely alone and sets up all of his own cameras, etc.
