If you're looking for a new and sad anime, look for GoRaxGoHands' K, also called K project. The opening of the manga, which is still ongoing, says it's a "story full of happiness" but it's a lie. By the end of the first season, which is only thirteen episodes, it had me bawling my eyes out.

The story is centered around the HOMRA's, the most feared clan and gang in Shizume City, hunt for the murderer of a prominent member, Totsuka Tatara, and the impending fall of the Red King's Sword of Damocles.

    10/10 strongly recommend!

I know Fruits Basket isn't really a sad anime but Momiji's backstory always has me bawling like a baby. Also, the first time I watched that series I cried really hard at the end. I just wanted Kyo to be accepted so bad and I kept getting mad at Tohru to realize what I had in two minutes (that he was still Kyo and he was still the same person) and to accept him. Urgh. She took so long, much longer than in the manga. I don't know why I cried at that. Maybe I'm just weird.

omfg... air TV literally made me want to cry!! I loved that one so much. <3 It was one of the best animes I have ever seen. I want to watch again, but I'm so afraid it's actually going to make me cry.

I know, blood plus was so emotional with Diva and Saya. I kind of sympathised with Diva though she was really a bit of a b*tch.

    @ Diamond Bunny.
I know, I was bawling. Especially when the dad was taking her away, the way I cried :'(

    @ Michiyo123
I know what you mean. For me the most emotional episodes were Gaara's story, when they were going to get Sasuke and it showed Choji's story, Rock Lees past and the one that made me cry the most was the Haku and Zabuza one. I was all emossh!! Yeah, I think those were the saddest ones for me. People thing that the third Hokage's death was sad, but I didn't really feel anything. I don't think he was that much of an important character.

That is the same attitude I had as well. I was so mad at her. I think there is one Inuyasha movie I did not watch because I knew she was in it. She just made my heart uuurgh! I'm on episode two of Darker than Black. The guy is so badass!! Don't really understand what is going on so far, but I'm loving it.
My friend recommended Soul Eater to me, I watched the first few episodes and left it. I guess I should give it a second try. Well, I do cry over a lot of things too. At first I thought it was weird, like crying over an anime, but now I believe its perfectly normal.

    @ OwlHooots
I'm going to give Ga Rei Zero a look. Thank you for that. I was beginning to run out of animes to watch lol :)

Oh I know. Kikyo pisses me off with her doom and gloom, "I loathe everything" attitude. Its just like: Okay, we get it, you're made you died and you're now made of bones and clay. We're sorry, but shit, stop trying to get in the way of Kagasha or Ill cut you bitch.

And Darker Than Black is good. I watched it all at once (only got about two hours of sleep for work that night) and there is a second season called Darker Than Black: Meteor of the Gemini or something like that. Haven't seen it all but from the first six episodes I managed to find its even sadder thaan the first season. >.> I didnt even know it was possible to cry that much over an Anime.

Annnnd, the near ending of Soul Eater is sad. Though I cry over a lot of things.

Oh man Clannad killed me and so did Elfen Lied. I just watched a pretty short one called Ga Rei Zero and it was heartbreaking. I cried like a baby. My uncle let me borrow the DVD's and all he told me about it was "it's gonna fuck you up." And yes, it suuure as hell did.

ohh Inuyasha was sad for me aswell. That K girl that Inuyasha was obsessed over. OMDZ!!! She really...annoyed me. I have never been so annoyed at an anime character before the way I was with her. I was just thinking, poor Kagome, but it ends good so that's all good for me. I think I'm going to watch Darker than Black right now. It sounds good already.

I thought Darker Than Black was horribly sad, I cried several times over the course of like 25 episodes. And I agree, FMA is pretty sad too but its got that comedy element to it to kinda soften the blow.

Im probably going to watch EL next; after I finish all my InuYasha.

Oh yeah, Full Metal Alchemist was really emotional for me as well. The ending was cute :) I haven't watched Cowboy Bebop and Samurai X. I will definitely have to watch those.

FullMetal Alchemist was a very sad anime, and probably one of the best in my opinion. I recommend Cowboy Bebop as well.
