J.J. is hard headed, stubborn teenager from New Jersey. She's had a pretty rough life and it's shaped her into the girl she is today. She has a bit of a split personality and separates the two by referring to herself as either J.J., who is cool, nice, and fun, or as Jack, who is mean, bitchy, and almost evil. Her friends are the most important people in her life, other than her twin brother Clayton. In a whole, J.J. is defiant, rebellious, rude and extremely hard to handle and control, which is why she's sent to Genson's Academy For The Hopeless Youth.

Clayton is J.J.'s twin brother and confidant. He's strong-willed, resilient and has an extremely high tolerance for pain. To those he isn't close to, Clay is an intimidating, big muscled male who towers over most of his peers. He isn't nice, he isn't pleasant, and he isn't a person to cross. Before Genson's, there was not a rule he was afraid to break. He's been accused of four counts of alleged homicide and two counts of attempted homicide. Getting blood on his hands to protect the ones he loves isn't a big deal to him- He'd rather kill a hundred people than let his little sister suffer.
