She went to med school to be a psychiatrist and after graduating, she moved from Raleigh to Oakland to practice psychiatry at a hospital in San Francisco, while living with her sister and Mike. She eventually started to date Tre, Caroline's ex and, and she would eventually marry Tre. After several miscarriages, she was able to maintain a pregnancy, giving birth to a daughter Avarielle, but dying of a brain aneurysm shortly afterward. She was only 31.
