The protagonist of this story. Rayven is a shy girl with only a few close friends. She's known her best friend Brittanie since the beginning of high school, and they've been almost inseparable since the end of Freshman year. She was born in California and lived there for her elementary school life until her mother decided to move back to Jersey (her birthplace) where she has been since middle school. Rayven has only had one real boyfriend who she dated for most of sophomore year, she lost her virginity to him but later found out that he had been cheating on her for three months which lead to their break up.

Brittanie is one of the main characters of the story and the best friend of Rayven. Brittanie has lived in Jersey her entire life and only been out of the state three times to visit family in New York. Brittanie is spontaneous and often the life of the party. She has been in many relationships but never found 'The One'. Her family is middle class and has helped Brittanie's mother financially many times in order to help them get by.

Gerard Way was born in New Jersey, and has lived there his entire life. He graduated high school and was sent to Art School by his 'Employer'. Upon graduating he began teaching at a high school. Gerard is a kind, mysterious, smart, artistic, charming man who has been in many relationships in his life, but has never found anyone worth spending his life with.

Casey Callihan is the leader of the largest Mafia in Jersey. He has been responsible for the deaths of over 50 people in the New Jersey area and surrounding states. Little is known about his past besides the fact that his wife disappeared over 10 years ago. Casey Callihan has never been arrested for his crimes due to the violent beating and near deaths of anyone that gives information to law enforcement. There are rumors that he has built a vast underground torture chamber where he tortures his victims for information, but no real evidence has been found of such a place.
