August is Alex Gaskarth's younger sister by five years. She ran away three years prior to the start of the story. She felt as if her parents and sibling didn't care about her and left to find the acceptance and love she desired. The streets are now her playground. A bench in the park is her bed. She goes days without eating from lack of money, not that it bothers her. She still attends a public school and takes dance lessons, competing for cash prizes when she can. She doesn't do drugs or drink alcohol.

Aaron, sometimes referred to as "Triple A", is one of Elizabeth's closest friends. He is eccentric to an extreme not normal to human-kind. The top half of his hair is died red while the bottom half is died black. His piercing blue eyes cut into the souls of many women, even though he's gay. He is part of Apollo's Dance Academy's "fabulous" dance team. It has become a pre-practice ritual for him to tackle August Gaskarth to the ground.
