Kyle is a hot-headed, cocky girl who's been in and out of teen clinics since the age of 13 for drugs and binge drinking. This time she's in rehab for a suicide attempt, and is Saffy's roommate. She hides her emotional instability behind snide comments and insults. Kyle has no friends and prefers it that way.

Nova is a cheerful, bubbly girl, sent to Outwell by her foster parents for a drug overdose. She hates conflict and will always try to calm people down. Nova is one of the friendliest people in Outwell, and instantly tries to befriend Saffy, despitre her own friends' protests.

Matty is a timid boy, sent to Outwell for bulemia. He was bullied as he grew up, and got into the mindset that losing weight would stop it all. Funny enough, this didn't work. He's closest to Nova, even though they are polar opposites, and relies on her for everything.

Camden is a quiet boy, friends with Nova and Matty, despite the age gaps. He's protective of the both of them, and loses his temper quite easily. He was sent to Outwell for self-harm and a suicide attempt, and hates sympathy for it. He believes that anyone that doesn't want help is a waste of time. Camden absolutely loathes Kyle.

Emil Smith

Arrives later in the story. Emil suffers from schizophrenia, a condition that makes him (much like Saffy) completely different to everyone else in Outwell. He is a sweet-natured boy at heart and acts quite childishly a lot of the time, always talking loudly and laughing. He believes that getting people to like him will cover the insecurities he has about his condition.

Arrives later in the story. Olivia (Oli for short) is sent to Outwell by her parents for constant binge drinking, the high amount of times she's had her stomach pumped putting her life at risk. Oli is aggressive with a short temper, and if she doesn't like a person, she'll make that quite clear. She isn't someone you'd want to be on the wrong side of.
