Welsh exchange student from some high school in northern Wales. Junior age, but he knows he won't be in the school long enough to fall in with a real clique, so he just sticks with Jack, Andrew and Daniel. Relatively secretive and doesn't often mention anything to do with Wales or his usual school. Surprisingly strong for his stature and has a mean right roundhouse kick. He's never really had to deal with people making fun of him for his sexuality before, so he's suddenly dragged to Earth when he arrives in Virginia.

Sensitive junior jock who's the newest addition to the school football team. He has the hugest crush on Victoria, and though he rarely talks to Jack or Andrew, they seem like nice enough kids to him. He's often labelled as a weirdo because he doesn't spend his time making fun of the quieter, shyer kids in his grade, but that's just not his style. He hates to see anyone upset, and if he does, he'll go over and give them a hug, even if he doesn't know them. A small boy with a huge heart.

  • Hayley Williams.

    Hayley Williams.

    Gender:
    Female
    Age:
    17
    Orientation:
    Straight

Senior plastic who takes great joy in draping herself all over Alex, because she relishes in the fact that she's the closest thing he has to both a best friend and a girlfriend. She's actually not as stupid, or as promiscuous as everyone judges her to be. It's just a bad choice of hair color and clothing. She takes a lot of things in her life for granted and that's the main reason that people dislike her. Her favorite class is Child Development, and contrary to belief, she wants to get a good job when she's older.

  • Joe Barakat.

    Joe Barakat.

    Gender:
    Male
    Age:
    18
    Orientation:
    Straight

Jack's older brother. Senior, who is willing to defend his brother no matter what it takes. Not exactly the most popular kid, but he doesn't care for popularity anyway. He has a twin sister called May, who he bickers with all the time. He doesn't need a reason to hate John and Alex more than he already does - they're lazy, good for nothing assholes as far as he can see. The only class he enjoys and cares about passing is Spanish - he wants to be a translator when he's older.

  • John O'Callaghan.

    John O'Callaghan.

    Gender:
    Male
    Age:
    18
    Orientation:
    Straight

Alex's 'friend'. Drug dealer to the school addicts. He convinced Alex to do drugs on the pretense that it would take away all the pain from his life, because Alex made the mistake of telling John about his home life. On the days that John is actually in school, he's usually meandering in the courtyard trying to give everyone their daily fix or get new customers as they pass by. He knows he doesn't have long until he's expelled, so he's making as much money as he can.

  • Andrew Goldstein.

    Andrew Goldstein.

    Gender:
    Male
    Age:
    16
    Orientation:
    Straight

Jack's best friend. Quietly confident theatric. Amateur film maker who also sings for the school band. Not as shy as Jack, and usually ends up talking for him in difficult situations. He dislikes Alex because he's not exactly as nice to him as he could be. He often gets made fun of because ninety-five percent of his friends are gay or bisexual, but he doesn't let that bother him. If they can't see how awesome they are, then it's their loss. He was nominated to look after Aled when he came over.

  • Alex Gaskarth.

    Alex Gaskarth.

    Gender:
    Male
    Age:
    17
    Orientation:
    Bisexual

Renowned among the school for being a 'drug-addicted ***' but those who know him will tell you otherwise. More intelligent than people give him credit for, Alex only really turns to drugs as an escape because his life pretty much sucks donkey balls. He never mentions home or anything of the sort. He hates the idea of love, and always says that anyone who claims to be in love with another person is stupid. His main - and more often than not, only - passion is music. It's the one class he isn't doing too badly in.

  • Victoria Asher.

    Victoria Asher.

    Gender:
    Female
    Age:
    17
    Orientation:
    Straight

Senior who used to be close friends with Alex before he started doing drugs. Now usually hangs with Rian & the other junior members of the football team. If she ever got the chance, she would gladly punch both Alex and Hayley in the face, because she grew up with them and they were never such horrible assholes as they are now. She isn't completely oblivious to the fact that Rian's crushing on her, but she's just nervous to say something in case she's wrong. She adores drama class.
