Kim Cooper is Joe Jonas' ex-girlfriend of four years. She is the youngest daughter of Lindsay and Kyle Cooper, and she is the younger sister of Lauren Kay Cooper. She was born and raised in New Jersey. Their dad died when she was only thirteen and when Lauren was fifteen due to heart failure. She and Joe met in kindergarten when they were three years old, when their families still lived in Jersey Shore, New Jersey. Kim grew up with Joe, and his brothers, Nick and Kevin, until the Jonas family had to move to California to support Nick's singing career. Shortly after the Jonas family moved, the Cooper family moved to Toluca Lake, California because her mother, Lindsay, has been accepted to be a head doctor in one of the hospitals there, and her sister wanted to go to college. A day after their four-year anniversary, Joe breaks up with her, citing that he needs to focus on other things. Kim was left heartbroken and depressed. Shortly therafter, she discovered that Joe has moved on to Demi Lovato, one of her best friends. Kim feels betrayed. Her dad was a movie director, and still not sure what to do with her life, Kim thinks of becoming an actress, thinking it would make her dad proud. She always wears a heart charm bracelet. It was Joe's present to her on their first year anniversary.

She has two children - both girls, who are Lauren Kay Cooper and Kimberly Louise Cooper. Her husband, Kyle died when the Kim was thirteen, and Lauren was fifteen. At first, Lindsay find it hard to cope up with the loss of her husband, but when they received their inheritance from Kyle, she decided to go back to school to get a PhD. Eventually, she did get it, and now she's the head doctor of a hospital. She is very hardworking, witty, and caring for both of her daughters.
