He lived there until he was five, when he and his father moved to the Untied States. Because of this, there are some words and phrases that come out of his mouth with a British accent. Prior to their move, Arthur's mother had gone ahead already. When she didn't return in a timely manner, they followed her. Arthur has very little memory of his mother. He plans to search for her, even if it means crossing the country.

His parents figured out his secret soon after his eighteenth birthday, and he ran away, not wanting any confrontation. He took his horse, Legend, a 16 hand Thoroughbred stallion who was only two years old at the time, with him and bought his own farm with the money he had saved in the bank. He lives alone, keeping to himself to keep his secret from getting out.
