Sol has always had a hard time being half-Mexican and half-French. She lost her father Antione in the beginning of the war and her older brother Martin is fighting in the war. After her father's passing, her mother's soon followed leaving Sol scarred for life both physically and psychologically. Sol moved in with her very good friend Lucy Schluz not being able to live alone. As far as personality wise Sol is known for her contagious smile and sharp tongue. With very little family she is very protective of those around her always putting their needs in front of hers without a second thought.

Martin is Sol's older brother that is currently in service. He is a good humored man that is very protective of his little sister Sol. Women generally flock to Martin and he tends to be a bit full of himself because of this. But the only woman close to his heart is his sister Sol whom he knew best. He fights in the war but always finds time to write his sister.

Brandon is Lucy's older brother, and her only sibling. Because they are only 4 years apart they had more of a friendship than a brother sister relationship. Brandon never was overprotective, but after little Brandon was born, he became more protective. He is currently in the Pacific, in the Air Force fighting for the United States. (FYI Brandon is doing the exact same thing my grandfather did in WWII...RIP grandpa<3) Brandon is based off my grandfather.

Lucy-Carol Schulz is nineteen and is usually known as just Lucy, or Lue. Lucy is a typical all american girl. She was never close to her parents, but was closer with her brother, Brandon, who she name her baby after. Lucy is quite petite, barely over five feet. She is very quiet and always seemed to keep to herself. The stories behind her son, Brandon, and the mystery of her parents are so much of a mystery that Solena doesn't even know the entire story.

Baby Brandon, was born when Lucy was only seventeen. He looks exactly like his brother. No, he is not the offspring due to incest, it is called genetics. He has the same fair blonde hair as his mother and uncle and shares the same brown eyes as them. He looks extremely unstable when he walks, but never seems to fall over. He is a pretty quiet baby, and doesn't talk alot except for, "Mommy," "Get Down," and "Up!" He is usually heard babbaling away to himself, and sometimes to the farm animals.
