Malcolm McCorey is a quiet but authoritative leader in the McCorey family, along with a quick temper. Blond but going bald, and towering over others at over six feet tall, Malcolm is a sucessful insurance salesman who believes in the importance of hard work. He dislikes Chace's preference of art over money and provides the strength necessary to keep his two children's rivalry under control. Nevertheless, he cares for his wife and children very much--even if he hates showing it.

Leona McCorey is a simple, loving woman who is entirely devoted to her family. Although she mantains a youthful appearence with warm brown curly hair and chocolate eyes, she rarely wears makeup or other such cosmetics. Despite being a stay-at-home mother, she has her hands full with two kids and being the andidote to her husband's sullen attitude.

Chace McCorey has been different during his entire life, beginning with the spelling of his unusual name chosen at the hospital the day he was born. Despite inheriting his father's white-blond hair and pale eyes, he is the target of ridicule at school, disappointment from his father, and teasing from his sister. Rather than devote his time to studying in school, he has a strong passion for art which is encouraged by his mother and hated by his father. Nevertheless, he has his father's strong will and a short temper.
