I think I said that he was sixteen in the story, but I'm changing it to seventeen. Ian is your stereotypical 'bad boy' on the outside, but he's a completely different person on the inside, and it seems that the only person who is capable of coaxing that side out of him, is Sean. Trouble sticks to him like glue, and it has done since he was a child, and no matter what he does; he can't seem to get rid of it.

Despite being American; Sean's adapted to life in Wales. But he hasn't adapted to his school, or the people in it, whatsoever. He had always had extremely low self esteem; but after his mother died, it vanished completely. As far as he's concerned, he's alone in the world; but then Ian came along.

Mike and Ian have been best friends since they were five and are very close; which is why Mike felt compelled to take Ian in when he had nowhere else to go. He constantly worries about Ian and his recklessness, and often acts like a parent. He's quiet, but if you give him a chance, he can be just as moody and loud as the next.
