He has dealt with a lot of grief so far in his life, and has a extremely dark past which tends to make him hurt everyone he cares about and push away anyone who starts to get too close.

Lindsey is Braine's #1 best friend. She is considered cute due to her 5'0 height along with her extremely petite body, long brown hair and warm amber eyes. She is an amazing person and friend who has stood by Braine for the past 4 years with complete loyalty. She is always the first person to provide happiness, hyperness and silliness to her bestie and group of friends. The thing with Lindsey though, is that even though she always appears light and peppy, she has a serious, deep side to her that only comes out in her weekly sessions with Mrs. Oden, her Psychiatrist.

Peyton is one of Braine's closest friends in the group beside Lindsey. She is 5'8, slim, has perfect skin, a perfect smile and a pretty perfect life, or so it seems. She is extremely driven and does great in school, but secrets that she continues to hold back from everyone, especially Braine, begin to make her lose control of herself and her once perfect life.

Kendle is the wild child in the group. She is beautiful at 5'6 with dark hair, tan skin and deep hazel/green eyes, but her beauty can mislead you. She once was the new girl in school (transferring in 2nd semester of sophomore year) but was quickly accepted by Braine and her friends. Now, even though the girls all like to think they know everything about one another, they don't. They especially don't know Kendle's secret behind her sudden transferring to Smitherson, or who she was before she became their friend. They don't know any of this because Kendle has been holding everything in for the past year and 1/2, but now that the boys will be joining the school, all the secrets she's been so desperate to keep hidden will soon begin to unravel.

McKenzie is the free spirit in the group. She is 5'6, blonde, blue eyed and completely innocent looking. She is the sweetest, friendliest and most sweet natured friend you'll ever find. The thing with Mckenzie is that since she was raised in a deeply religious family, she has decided to not only rebel against her families catholic views but also to rebel against what they believe is right by not only being bisexual but by also secretly having an abortion junior year. Even though she's a bit more free then the rest of the group, all of the girls especially Kendle accept her for who she is.

You see his younger brother died 3 months ago leaving him completely empty . But maybe with a little help from a certain someone whom he quickly finds amazing, he will be able to mend the pieces of his broken family, friendships and life.
