From the time she was born, Soya's entire life has been planned from the subjects she studies in schools, to her profession, even to the company she keeps. She's been dancing since she was able to fit in ballet shoes and is now part of a well known ballet company. She has long dark brown hair that is usually up in a ponytail or in a bun on the top of her head and light grey eyes. Though her skin was pale from her growing up in Finland, it's tanned slightly over the years of living in New York.

Josef is Soya's best friend having met her when he was seventeen having been paired up together in thier parternering classes at Julliard. Though the beginning of thier friendship started on rocky ground, Soya and Josef found common ground in thier dancing, pushing each other to be the best they could be. While close friend as well as his siblings know he's gay, his parents do not. Josef is the youngest of five, he has short blonde hair and blue eyes. He tends to have a short temper, but is protective of people he views as family.

Aida Toivonen is Soya's little sister. While she has many similarities to her sister, both physically and emotionally, she tends to be a bit more directs when it comes to her emotions. She's shy around strangers, but takes quickly to those she finds trustworthy. She looks up to her sister, as well as Ville. While she gets treated as a mini adult a lot of the time, she has her moments that are purely and innocently childlike.

Rosalind is one of Soya's very best friends, having met while they roomed together, Soya's first six months at Julliard. She's is the drummer and singer for her band [i]Revolution[/i] which she and her brothers formed when they were children. She speaks her mind, very rarely filtering anything that leaves her mouth, which tends to get her in trouble and grate on peoples nerves. Even with her personality flaws, her friends adore her as she's loyal to a fault, never failing to be there for the people she loves. She's family oriented, happy to be at home with her daughter, Impi, and her bothers and has been in a very publicized on again, off again relationship with Jyrki 69 for at least ten years.
