Personality: Belinda sees herself and plain and doesn't always understand the attention she often gets from guys. She's mellow and is "the logical one" between her and Lauren. She is sometimes uncomfortable with change and usually gets over things with her sense of humor and her best friend. She is not always very emotional and has difficulty explaining her feelings. Background: Belinda has lived in the Colorado suburbs nearly her entire life. She met Lauren very early in her life and has stayed close with her, rarely becoming god friends with anyone else. She was fairly popular in high school, but she sees herself as pretty normal. Belinda graduated Jefferson High School with honors. She felt no direction in her life and decided to wait a year before attending Colorado State University. Relationships: Belinda never had a serious boyfriend in high school and although boys showed interest, she never saw the need to have a guy by her side. She dated Nolan Perry for a few months, but nothing really came out of it. She meets John O'Callaghan and Jared Leto and obviously, everything changes. Family: Belinda has no siblings and her parents are still married. Her father traveled for business for much of Belinda's life. Her mother is an event planner and tends to get more than tipsy at the parties she attends. Belinda isn't necessarily close to either of her parents, but there isn't tension in their relationship.

Personality: Lauren is your typical outgoing best friend. She's bubbly and tends to embarrass herself regularly by yelling or dancing in public. She's crazier than Belinda and is good at giving advice to cheer people up. She always states what she thinks and how she feels and unfortunately, she doesn't always know how far is too far. She can sometimes be immature but she's extremely loyal to whoever she loves. Background: Lauren has lived in Colorado for her entire life. She met Belinda very early in her life and has stayed close with her, rarely becoming god friends with anyone else. She was seen as Belinda's sidekick at Jefferson High School, where she graduated with honors. She is trying to save up money to take culinary school classes, but has difficulty finding a job. Relationships: Lauren has been dating Marcus for a few long years. Marcus had a small stint with Belinda before they began dating. Their relationship is somewhat rocky, with one month being steady and perfect and the next being absolutely horrendous. Family: Lauren has two siblings: an 23-year-old brother, Thomas, and a 17-year old sister, Nina. Lauren is close to Nina and rarely sees Thomas, who is in the army. Her mother is widowed, unmarried, and her father died during her toddler years. She is close to her mom and family is a top priority for Lauren.
