When she was just a baby, Roana was found on the outskirts of a little village, bundled in a picinic basket. An elderly couple took her in and raised her until they passed away. On her own at the tender age of twelve, Roana learned the medicinal capabilities of the plants that grew around her village. She kept it a secret, knowing the villagers would see that kind of knowledge as stranged and unknown, but when a young child tears a gash through his leg she's forced to help him. With her secret out she's now running for her life, chased by those she grew up with.

Known as The Creature in the villages that surround the Dark Forest, Ulric lives a solitary existence, only interacting with humans when he's running them from his territory. He lives mostly in his wolf form, more comfortable with the animal than he is with the man. He doesn't solcialize with the others of his kind, instead he avoids them as much as possible. The only beings he allows near him are the natural wolves, sometimes helping them hunt when times are lean or he feels the need for violence. He has a temper, like his natural cousins, and is very protective of what's his.

She's Ulric's mother. She protective of her family, but she's not overprotective. She lets people make mistake so they can learn from the, but won't hesitate to help them if they need it.

He's Ulrics cousin and wants to be the alpha of the pack of Creatures. His uncle, the current alpha, doesn't believe Terrance is ready and wants Ulric to be the alpha. Terrance is very jealous of this and will do anything to be alpha.

She's a strong female and isn't afraid to prove it. She's a lot like her father, but is still sweet like her mother. She loves her family, but needs her independence. She's a natural leader and has a problem with following orders, but not with making them.

Warrick is Roana's brother. To save her life he and his two brothers placed her in a village where they thought she'd be safe. When they hear about a human woman from that village being kidnapped by a Creature they fear it's their father and search for her. He's second in command to his brother, Alem.

Alem is the new alpha of the Haggard Tribe. He's trying to change the way his tyrant father ran things, but some of the wolves in his Tribe want things to stay the way they are. He's patient and can be kind, but he's alpha for a reason.
