Josh is his cousin and also his best friend ever since they met as children, so he doesn't want to be the reason Dianna and Josh breakup. He tries to keep away from Dianna but is drawn to her without even noticing it. When Josh's parents die his family takes Josh under their wing and this makes it so they are together constantly (possibly making their friendship stronger.. or does it have the opposite effect?)
