Her best friend, also known as Wes. He's gotten in trouble with the law, so his adoptive parents let him stay in a foster home until he proves he's "well-behaved", but he likes living at the home more than at his own home. His adoptive parents are extremely rich and kind of snobby, and they play favorites - they treat their biological son like a prince and expect Wesley to be the ideal big brother and to be heir to his adoptive father's business (that's why they adopted him - their real son wasn't a good fit).
