Air steward at Independence Air. Good friends with Chord, Zack, Rian, Dianna and Darren. He has a very fiery personality, which often leads to him snapping at people. He often has to be held back by other members of the crew to prevent him insulting customers. He is hopelessly and irrevocably in love with Jack, a frequent flyer on the airline and a mutual friend of Chord’s, but Jack doesn’t even know who he is. He often spaces out and is fairly forgetful. He is one of three stewards who knows the location of the exit doors and so is often roped in on demonstrations. He never went to college, but graduated high school with good grades, so he’d like to go back and study at some point in later life. He’s very friendly and charismatic, and is easy to get along with, or so he likes to think.

Chord Overstreet.

Air steward at Independence Air. Shy and keeps himself to himself when he’s not at work. Appears cool and confident when at work. He often has to keep the peace between various other members of staff who bicker almost constantly. He’s pretty confident about his pansexuality, has been for years, although everyone else seems to be convinced he’s just bisexual and he’s kind of given up arguing with them. He has been in love with his best friend, Chris, for as long as he can remember. He never has the nerve to tell him, even though he knows he’s gay. He’s very good friends with Alex, and some other members of staff are convinced they are together/should get together. He went to a private high school, but never went to college, and so has been shunned by family/a lot of his graduating class.

Chord’s best friend from high school, a vastly over-qualified businessman. He works with Jack and is constantly and ineffectively trying to convince him to at least consider going on a date with Alex. He is slowly coming to terms with the possibility he’s in love with Chord. He told Jack, who told him to bite the bullet and tell him. He didn’t, because he is awkward and shy, especially around Chord as of late. He’s very proud of himself and his sexuality, and can be somewhat of a snob. He can be very cold, snappy and grouchy if he is around people he dislikes or doesn’t get along with. He’s very opinionated and strong, and thinks that Chord is working below his abilities. He’d never tell him, though; he doesn’t want to risk the friendship.

Co-pilot for Independence Air. He often/always works with Rian. He has recently started questioning his sexuality after he began to find Rian attractive. He is shy, awkward, and the only time he really speaks to anyone is at work. He’s from Ohio, but moved to California for the work. He only really considers Alex, Chord, Rian, Darren and Dianna his friends. He has a very secluded and introverted personality, unlike the rest of his family and friends. He lives in a one-bedroom flat when he’s not at work. He has never been in a serious relationship -the last time he dated anyone was in junior year. He is often overpowered by his shyness and doubt in himself. He finished high school and college very well and was employed by Independence almost immediately after applying for the job.

A mutual acquaintance of Chord’s, whom he met through his business partner Chris. He hasn’t been in a long-term relationship for several years as his last left him and his ego bruised. He and Chord harbour somewhat of a distrust of each other which both Chris and Alex are trying to fix. He has a bad habit of using people’s weaknesses against them. He is famed among his co-workers for being very conniving and sneaky. Despite this, he is very intelligent and confident, and graduated from business college with the highest honours. He is one of the most experienced and skilled business negotiators in all of Los Angeles, which is why he is often sent overseas and across states with Chris to close business agreements and deals. He is fairly rich and lives in a house that is far too big for him alone.

Rian’s long term partner, who recently became his fiancée. She is very irritable and hot-headed, and trusts very few people. She is a news and weather girl at the local TV station, where she works with Chord’s older siblings, Summer and Nash. She has somewhat of a reputation as being a possessive bitch, but those who know her well insist that she’s lovely. She is currently the definition of bridezilla when it comes to planning her wedding. She is easily scared and has phobias of butterflies and bats. She is a very professional woman and is often fiendishly well organized and plans everything carefully and in full detail. Hers and Rian’s relationship is struggling lately, so she is rushing the wedding so that he has no excuse to leave her.

Pilot with Independence Air. His partner is often Zack. He is engaged to local news and weather presenter Cassadee, but is having doubts about the engagement, to that point he’s thinking of calling it off. He values Zack as his best friend and trusts him more than he trusts his own fiancée. He has always identified as bisexual, but has never felt the need to tell anyone, because as far as his friends are concerned, he’s straight. He is charismatic and popular. He speaks fluent Spanish and German, as he studied at private schools all his life, but this has not left him uppity in any way. He is well-liked by the crew and most people he interacts with. He struggles to hold his own in an argument and is very good at avoiding conflict. He has a few issues with his self esteem.

An air steward with Independence Air, his lifelong dream is to be in a world famous band so he can travel the world in his own time. He plays the guitar and likes to think of himself as somewhat of a YouTube celebrity. He is still unsettled in himself and is not thoroughly understanding of his own asexuality. He shares an apartment with Dianna when they’re home, and they often babysit for the neighbours together. He values her as his best friend. He is quite sensitive sometimes, yet is often seen as the life and soul of the party or social event. He was educated in public school in San Francisco, which is how he met Dianna. He is very friendly and often sings when he’s not giving something or someone his full attention. He often makes people laugh and is sometimes a little too cheeky.

An air stewardess with a famously fiery personality. She is definitely someone to stay on the good side of. She is very territorial and protective of her good friends and anyone she values in her life. She has a girlfriend, Sierra, whom she has been dating a few months, and her parents have finally come around to accepting her sexuality. Darren was her ’rock’ through middle and high school, and they decided to get a job together at nineteen. She is often very closed off and keeps herself to herself, so it took her two years to open up and finally count Alex and Chord as friends. She is very opinionated, and Darren always says she should run for president. She is very intelligent and well-educated, and is somewhat of a bookworm. She is very sassy and has been dubbed elitist before.
