Cayman is best known as a family man and braniac, if he is known at all. Generally, he is invisible at school, never heard from, never seen, always solitary and reserved during his lifetime. When he dies, Taylie thinks that no one will notice; however, when people begin to learn his story, he becomes Atlantica’s hero. But his time on Earth is not over, and he returns as a ghost. Cayman is kind, gentle, and quiet, and has always been in love with Taylie.

Traci is arrogant and determined to be better than the rest. She is rather self-centered and wants nothing but the best for herself, but somehow still makes a very good friend. However pretty, selfish, and loyal she may be, she is known for anything but her brains.

Kaela is one of the smartest people in Atlantica. She is very good at forgery, shoplifting, pickpocketing, and general thievery. Ironically, she is fascinated by crime and law enforcement. She is very talkative, and loves being right.

Renee is the most popular girl at Atlantica Public High School. Although, Taylie might give her a run for her money. Renee is beautiful and a talented writer, and an even better liar. She will also stop at nothing to stomp those in her way into the ground with her four-hundred-dollar stilettos.

Taylie’s brother. He is a rock band guitarist, although not a very talented one. Traumatized by the tragic death of his fiancee and near-loss of his sister, he is protective of those he loves, and normally keeps to himself. However, he begins to open up…when he suspects that Taylie killed Cayman.

Known as Nosy Paisley, people either love her or hate her in Atlantica; there’s no in-between. Taylie is friends with Paisley through Kaela, and although Paisley would love to be part of Taylie’s group, Taylie just doesn’t trust her. She loves to gossip and get into other people’s business, but her nose for trouble may land Taylie in jail.
