Amber lives with her mother and her brother Jake. She can read people like a book, and she always considers and listens to everything that people have to say. She is very shy when meeting new people, and after she moves to Huntington Beach, she stays close to her brother's side until she makes friends of her own. Amber and her brother were very close when their parents were together, and now that she lives with him again Jake has the over-protective and authoritative position over her. Amber tends to give in to what her brother asks her to do and this can lead to some bad situations at times.

Jake is the older brother of Amber. He and his sister Amber have always been close, and he's very protective of her and wants what's best for her. In his opinion, of course. He is very stubborn when she or anybody else doesn't listen to him, because he always has to be right about everything. Jake and his friends make up a trio: Damien, Allen, and himself.
