Shayla is just another teenage girl who's about to complete high school. Her parents divorced when she was young and she thinks it's because her extremely wealthy father wanted a "younger model". She basically hates her new step-mom. She lives with her dad since he got full custody, since they saw him more fit to take care of her due to his wealth, so she resents him quite a bit. She's forced onto the lifestyle that is country clubs, private schools, and snobby shindigs and she hates it all.

Matt Sanders was born into the wealth of Huntington beach, though he sure didn't look like he was. Almost always dressed in a black t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and a pair of rebel shorts, he and his friends terrorized the town when they were teenagers. He then later dropped out of school to pursue his interests in starting a national metal band, which he succeeded. When off tour he likes to spend his time at the country club golfing and hanging around. Although he doesn't like to admit it, he's a complete Mama's boy.
