Serenity is a sixteen year old girl who is abused by her father. She is closest to her best friends and would give her life for them. Her mother died when she was twelve. Basically, her only friends are Christina, Justin, Izzy, Sam, Jake, and Sarah.

Christina is Serenity's best friend in the whole world. Christina knows about the abuse but was sworn to secrecy (like Serenity's other best friends). Christina is dating Brandy, who lives in Texas but will become more apart of this story later. Christina is basically the one closest to Serenity. She goes through a lot of stuff in her own life but is always there when a friend is in need. She is sarcastic and random and can make you laugh so hard you cry. She tries to be nice to everyone and hangs out with pretty much any type of person. However, when she spots a fake, there is no changing her mind. She can't stand them. She is clumsy and athletic and doesn't ever admit to being weak. She is basically a total bad ass. (This is a picture of someone I know personally. You will not find it on Google.)

Justin is Serenity's other best friend. He is spazzy as can be and can always make you laugh. Sometimes he doesn't know when to be serious but he is always sweet. He is lovable and fun and gives the best hugs known to man. He is single but is always looking for a cute guy. And you will hear about it once he finds one. Izzy is more on the quiet side compared to her group of friends. She is the oldest of 6 siblings and loves everyone of them. At some point in each of their life she has been like a mother to them. She is always there when she is needed and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Unless she doesn't like you. Then you're screwed. She has gone through a lot of hard times in her life but thinks the past is the past. While she still may not forgive the people who hurt her, she moves on with life and tries her best to be happy. Aiden is the "Top Dog" at school. He is cocky and lazy and annoys Serenity to no end. They have never actually had a real conversation but she can't stand him. He is actually very smart, he just slacks off. No one really knows what he thinks of Serenity until later in the story. At the moment he doesn't like her and he doesn't hate her. He simply does not care. She is just a person in his class.

Caleb is Aiden's best friend. He is nicer than Aiden but still enjoys messing with people. Serenity doesn't really mind Caleb and has actually had a few decent conversations with him, considering they are lab partners. He becomes a closer friend to her later in the story.

Brandy is an all around sweet person. Serenity has talked to her a few times over chat and she is always nice. Brandy lives in Texas and met Christina over Devianart She loves Christina so much and Serenity wishes she could do something for them two to be together.
