Gabriel was bitten by a lycan at the young age of twenty-five in 1662. He was born and raised in Romania, with an older sister and younger brother. His family was of low class and he spent most of his childhood working around the small farm his father owned. When he was twenty-five, there was a raging thunderstorm. He had gone out to settle the family's horse; once he stepped in the barn, everything went black. After 350 years Gabriel remembers nothing from his human life. After he was bitten he was taken in by the lycan Constantine, who treated Gabriel like a brother. Eventually as time went by Constantine named Gabriel his head hunter in the House of Lumina Lumii, which means House of Moonlight. Constantine is the Alpha of the House of Lumina Lumii. His exact age is unknown, and his past is a complete mystery. He keeps to himself most of the time and is known for killing without hesitation. Lionus is the official Bookkeeper for the House of Lumina Lumii. He takes care of all the records and paperwork for the House, as well as documenting hunts and on-goings in the house. As Bookkeeper he is also in charge of ancient tombs, scrolls, and other works of history that belong to the House, and lycans in general. He is best friends with Gabriel. He's highly educated, poised, and serious. He values his job above anything else. He stands at about 5'10, with light skin and a slim frame but still toned frame. His hair is messy and tousled, shaved one side and is a dark auburn. His eyes are a rich green, and turn red when he changes into his wolf form. He wears glasses.

Marku is the Lieutenant General Hunter in the House of Lumina Lumii. He is very close with Gabriel and they were recruited into the house at the same time. Unlike Gabriel, Marku is a natural born lycan and comes from an old family of lycans in Italy. Marku's younger brother, Lucca, is part of the House of Sangue. No one knows this except Constantine, who has total faith in Marku. Marku stands at about 6'1, with dark tan skin and dark brown curly hair that reaches his cheekbones. His features are strong and bold, and he's very muscular and quiet. His eyes are always blood red with a ring of yellow.

Sorin is Gabriel's younger brother. He is the beta to the House of Sangue, second in command to the Alpha, Caspian. Although of late Caspian has fallen ill, leaving Sorin to guide the House. He has spent the last two hundred years searching for his brother. When he finally found him, Gabriel had no memory of his human life. Sorin has been watching Gabriel for nearly a century, waiting for the perfect opportunity to reveal himself. Sorin was bitten by a rogue lycan when he was nineteen, after he ran away from home in search of Gabriel. Marku's brother, Lucca, found Sorin and took him to the House of Sangue where Caspian accepted him into the House. Sorin looks like Gabriel, but younger and with a slimmer build. His black hair is cut into a neat mohawk and unlike Gabriel his eyes are a mixture of blue and green, and turn white under certain circumstances. His ears are also gauged.
