She's calmed down a bit from her high school days. She lives in the Laguna Beach house with her boyfriend Sam Bettley. She's no longer friends with anyone from Beverly Hills, though they have tried to contact her but she's been strong on avoiding them at all costs. Her mom is still trying to intervene with everything in her life and her dad is a more in the background now than before, but she sends him unsigned bands and artists that she thinks he might like.

Cassidy Wilson (post high school)

Cassidy and Riley are still the best of friends but don't see each other as often as they'd like. They have the monthly lunch date or shopping excursion but other than that it's texting and phone conversations. Cassidy and Christian are still going strong. She has come out of her shell quite a bit and has become almost as tough as Riley, making them an even better team than they were at Kloss. She attends UCLA as a theater major.

Unlike Cassidy and Riley, Audrina lives in Michigan with Jimmy and the rest of I See Stars. Her and Jimmy are also going strong and she has taken to being I See Star's merchgirl and sometimes photographs the tours for the band. She only sees Riley and Cassidy when I See Stars is touring or in the studio with Riley's father but when they are together, it's like old times.

Innocent Claire isn't so innocent anymore. She's changed the most out of the group and it's quite shocking to them. While she didn't end up with anyone from the high school group like Riley, Cassidy, and Audrina, she is dating a band guy by the name of Matt Good and is a working photographer.

Riley's younger sister. While growing up, she was practically raised by Riley and Braden. She has always idolizes Riley. Unlike her parents, she loves Riley and Sam's relationship. Unlike Riley, who hid under the radar while attending Beverly Hills, Brittney is a bit of a socialite and loves every second of it.

Riley's father and a music executive. He's a bit distant from his daughter but he allows her to send him unsigned bands that she likes. He's also a quiet man and leaves the talking to his wife, often standing there smiling and nodding every so often and maybe giving a word or two of his opinion. He doesn't approve of Riley and Sam's relationship because Sam is talent and also he knows how the rockstar types can be since he's worked with them for over 20 years. He just doesn't want to see his daughter getting hurt, like any caring father.

Riley's loving and somewhat over bearing mother. She's a script writer and loves every minute of her job. She's the more outgoing between her and her husband, Hal. She's sociable at parties where as he only has full on conversations when it's about work. She wants Riley to have a good life even if it means she has to force her into situations that help Riley unlock her potential. She doesn't approve of Riley and Sam's relationship after hearing stories about rockstar types from her husband and wants her daughter to settle down with someone slightly more promising.

Braden is Riley's older brother. He lives at home even though he is well into his twenties and still lives the partying lifestyle. When he and Riley were younger, they both raised their younger sister Brittney since their parents were either working or out of town. He's not around much, usually nursing off a hangover or at a party; it's a rare occasion that Riley actually sees her brother.
