Xavier is the oldest of three brothers who are triplets. He, like his brothers, is a werewolf. Xavier is carefree and tends to get in trouble frequently. He loves life, but knows when to be serious. Xavier has a tendency to be very flippant and uncaring about defeated enemies and death.

Emma is a strong young woman. Her father was sent to jail for extortion and theft when she was almost elven and her mother skipped town shortly later. With the help of a neighbor, Susan Briggs, Emma has raised her baby sister Carrie who is about nine years younger than Emma.

Kayne is the youngest of the three Volkov triplets. Like his brothers, Kayne is a werewolf. He can be a little overbearing and protective. He only attacks those who are trying to hurt or threatening the one's that he loves. Kayne is an intelligent and sometimes insensitive person (though he doesn't mean to be) who loves and hates with his whole heart.

Ruska is the middle brother of the three Volkov brothers. This means that he is a werewolf. Ruska is strong, a warrior bound by his own personal codes of honor and chivalry. When he decides to do something, very few people can stop him. He is protective and fiercely loyal. Once he is your friend, he's your friend and ally for life, unless you betray him. Most people tend to see him as less intelligent something he generally doesn't argue with even if his brothers do.
