Gren (as he likes to be called) is the Chancler of the legendary Grendel from Beowulf. He is the main character of the story. Gren is the typical ornery, teenage boy, with pent up anger, and a snarky attitude. Gren has grown up in a world where a person's Inkling means everything. Angry that he is stuck with the title of monster Gren often grows annoyed with people who he thinks are not deserving of their Inkling, and are entitled.

Gwen, (Grendel's mother) is a hard CEO, no nonsense type. Gwendolyn is a cut throat dragon lady of the business world, never seen wearing anything but heels and a pencil skirt, she isn't afraid to use her feminine charms to get what she wants. Most people, (including Grendel) find her a rather scary woman with piercing wolf like eyes and a fiery temper easy to explode, she enjoys nothing more than ripping into unsuspecting rivals. Gwen is not the type of girl to show a soft or even nurturing side, she often appears hard as a tack, her emotional persona equivalent to the hard-skin she possessed in the epic poem her Inkling originated from.

Vlad, (as he likes to be called) is the group therapy leader, he is the Chancler of Dracula. Vlad can be seen as a bit of a hipster, he enjoys wearing baggy turtleneck sweaters, that pool at his wrist and move as he talks. Vlad has a slight Eastern European accent, only noticed when he rolls over his [i]R's.[/i]

Tommy, (as he likes to be called) is a fresh soul and a new Chancler his Inkling hardly set in stone he is far younger than the rest of the group. Tommy can be a stubborn and defiant child.

Lady Margaret Macbeth

Margaret (as she likes to be called) is the Chancler of Lady Macbeth, and is the only other girl in the group meetings. She is seen as a trivial whiny girl character by Gren, who openly dislikes Margaret because he finds her to be annoying and self-obsessed.
