Liara is a nineteen year old ballerina. The daughter of a history professor and a physics professor Liara attempted suicide six months before Briony's entrance to the mental institution. A Bipolar with manic depression who struggles with anorexia, Liara loves to dance and keeps up this passion even in the confines of her ward, and she can be found dancing every morning.

Maggie does not remember who took her baby but at times is convinced her child is still with her and can be seen gently rocking and humming her child to sleep.
