She had fought off the Shifter that stayed behind to take her and she nearly died protecting herself. When she finally was able to behead the creature, she realized her brother was missing. Now it's ten years later and she's still searching for her brother. She lives and travels with Gary and Kim, and her fiancee travels along with them--considering he is the son of Kim and Gary. But when she runs into a Shifter one day hunting, everything changes and she see's them in a different light. When she finds herself falling for another man, she's left confused and heartbroken and not sure what to do. Soon she's going to marry Matt, but she can't help but picture the Shifters dark chocolate brown eyes instead of his hazel ones.

Dani is what you would call a leader of sorts. She tends to be more careful on missions than the rest of the group, though everyone knows that Lexie has the lead. You will notice, though, that Lexie will take a lot of advice from Dani while they are on missions and will listen to every piece she gives. Dani is good at what she does and she loves doing it.
