She is Immune to all viruses, diseases, as well as the Infected Undead. She was part of a program at the CDC with a boy named Adam who is also Immune. She was neighbors with the Dixon brother's before the world decided to end and is trained in survial skills, weapons, and combat.

An experienced tracker and hunter, he is deadly accurate with his Crossbow, the Horton Scout HD 125. He is also highly skilled with various firearms and knives. He has taken a prominent role in safeguarding the members of his group, and keeps an even closer eye on Eve even though he believes shecan take care of herself.

He is in the same program as Eve only he was chemically engineered to withstand diseases while she was genetically. Eve always thinks that's he's still only 13 but really he is 18. Although Eve just thinks of him as her little brother he has a major crush on her. He also lives at the CDC even though Eve no longer does.

An unruly and quick-tempered Southern redneck, Merle is extremely ill-tempered, racist, violent, volatile, and quick to express his beliefs. Much like his younger brother, Merle is an expert tracker and hunter.

also known as TS-19, was the head researcher at the Center for Disease Control when the outbreak decimated Atlanta. At one point, she was infected and died, but donated her body to her husband, Edwin Jenner, so that he could conduct research and hopefully find a cure.
