The main female character of the story. Stella is in love with Shawn who goes to the Naval Academy in order to join the Navy after college. She also goes to her own college in order to major in biology because she wants to become a doctor. She is very kind, passionate, emotional and occasionally strong willed. However, she falls easily and is prone to giving into temptation.

The main male character of the story. Shawn leaves his beloved Stella to go to the Naval Academy to eventually join the Navy. However, after being deployed on a ship for a mission, he goes missing. He is a proper gentleman, especially to Stella and will never break any of his promises.

The sexy guy that Stella meets at college. Has a clear attraction for her and tempts her away from Shawn, before and after he disappears. 3 years after Shawn’s disappearance, he comes back for Stella and she eventually accepts him into her arms and her bed.
