He is also friendly but shy, and even he has his own moments of fame and bravery. (Little Dog is an actual character from and ACTUAL EVENT SIMILAR to the EVENT in this book)

Patricia Thorn, a single mom, is a very over protective mom. Her son, Trevor, is much like Andrew and spends most of his time with him. Tricia's husband, Matthew, died while hiking on a mountain. He slid off the side of the cliff and was never found. After this tragic event, Tricia holds tightly to Trevor's life, making sure everyday he is perfectly safe.

Trevor Thorn is a 9 year old adrenaline junky. He loves being with his best friend Andrew, who is the same way. They two of them do many things together. He is the only child of Patricia and feels quite lucky for that. His father died while hiking the mountains of New Zealand.
