Francesca or 'Fran' as she likes to be called is a very outgoing girl. She'll do anything that doesn't involve violence. Fran use to live in a giant mansion in Miami with her parents Carisa and Antonio. She lived with them untill she was eighteen, then she moved to New York city and got a job as a coffee waitress. She gets paid more then she thought she would so she kept the job. She's not very proud of her family because of her father's job-He works with the Spanish Mafia. But not only does he just work with them, he's the leader. He doesn't do drugs or anything like that, he just kills people, sell's drugs and weapons, and does other things Fran doesn't want to know about. Fran use to be friends with this boy named Armando, who was living on the streets by himself when Fran met him. She begged her father to help him, so he put him in the Mafia and trained him. He and Fran talked all the time untill she got up and left in the middle of the night. She left a note for her family and one for him, saying that she was sorry and that she would miss him. Fran hasn't talked to Armando since.

Armando is a twenty-six year old man who works in the Spanish Mafia. He was put in it when he was only fifteen. Armando lived on the streets after his parents abandened him when he was twelve, so he survived off of water and food he stole. He was very skinny and sick when Fran found him, and she begged her father to help him. he finally said he would and took Armando to a doctor. When he was out of the hospital, Fran's father made Armando start working out so he would be strong. Armando quickly became Fran's best friend and it was hard to get them away from each other, he even developed a small crush on her. When Fran left, Armando was heart broken and felt empty, but he had no choice but to get over it. When he turned twenty he became Antonio's-Fran's dad-Right hand man. He is very handy with guns and knives and can also fight without weapons.

Antonio is the toughest guy you'll ever meet. His only weakness is his wife and daughter. Antonio is from Mexico and came to America when he was twelve. A few years later he met Clarisa, who soon became his wife. When Antonio came to America, the Spanish Mafia did to because his father was in charge of it. After his father died, he became in charge of it. Two years later he had Francesca, his first and only child. Since Clarisa tried but could not have another baby, Antonio knew that Fran would have to be the leader of the Mafia when he died. She would be the only girl to ever run the Mafia. When Fran left, Antonio was more upset then he was angry and for a while he sent a search party to bring her back, but they could never find her. It took him two years to act like he recovered, but in reality he was still very upset. He made Armando his Right hand man after his other one was killed.

Clarisa Lopez is the wife of Antonio Lopez and the mother of Francesca Lopez. She doesn't like how Antonio is always with the Mafia and she worries that he'll get hurt or worse-die. When Clarisa was younger she had a poor family. She could never aford descent clothes or anything that was descent. When she turned eighteen, she moved to America by herself. She met Antonio when she was in her twenties and they got married three months later. Soon after that, she had Fran. Clarisa was very upset when Fran left.
