*note: I don't like to provide pictures for my characters. I feel that everyone has their own idea of how characters look exactly in their heads, and that's okay with me.* Janie stands at about average height with a slim and athletic figure. She has her father's green eyes and straight-ish brown hair that falls just bellow her shoulder blades. Janie's mother died when she was sixteen and she went to live with her father who was married and had two twin boys while Jake stayed with his father. She has always taken care of her brothers, especially Jake. She was in her second year of residency as a general surgeon at the hospital in Atlanta before the outbreak began.

Jake is about 5'11" and is more thin than beefy, and has short dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He and Janie share the same mother but have different fathers. Jake was a troubled kid growing up and spent most of his time getting into trouble, even doing a short stint in juvey. He didn't go to college and has a hard time keeping a job. Janie has been looking after him most of their lives. He was arrested for possession and Janie went to bail him out; they were on there way back to Atlanta when the outbreak started.
