Hana is Haruhi's cousin from her mother's side of the family. Hana has a disease that was with her since she was born though it was never doing anything to her body until the age of twelve. By the time her parents realized what was happening it was much to late for the doctors to be able to save her. She was given medicine to help the pain stay at bay and was admitted to the hospital permentally due to how unstable the disease could grow without supervision, however she was allowed to spend her last week with her cousin and her friends.
