Sam is the World History professor who normally minds his own and does his job. However, when Emma comes into his classroom everything changes. He starts to almost immediately have feelings for her he isn't meant to have. So he kept the feelings dormant until Emma comes to his side and gets it out of him. Now Sam feels the need to protect Emma, until things flourish and it his feelings deeper.
