Callista, who prefers to be called by her middle name, Aria, is a 25-year old junior high English teacher in Denver, Colorado. She is currently in a relationship with Colorado Avalanche hotshot Nate MacKinnon, however what kind of relationship, only time will tell. She used to date Nate's teammate and captain, Gabe Landeskog, until their relationship ended in a tense breakup and lots of tears. Her best friend is Clare Milten, also 25, who works the late afternoon shifts at the local mall's Forever 21. Aria has naturally blonde hair, but dyed it when she was 16 to brown. Recently she got ombre highlights, thanks to the begging of her friend Clare, which is how Nate was able to recognize her. Follow Aria's whirlwind journey in 'Capitulated Love'. Clare is Aria's best friend in 'Capitulated Love'. Although they are best friends, Clare does not know anything of Aria's past, which means anything before freshman year university. That also includes Aria's real name, Callista, and her relationship with Nate. She is in a serious relationship with Gabriel Landeskog, Aria's ex-boyfriend. Portrayed by Julianne Hough.

Matt is Nate's teammate in Denver. He's always got Nate's back, and tries to give him advice about Aria when he can. Matt has been dating his girlfriend Ashley since he's been drafted into the NHL. He is currently 22 and plays for the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL.

Gabe is Aria's ex-boyfriend, and Clare's current BF. Gabe ended things with Aria after the distance became too much for him to handle, although he seems to be doing fine with Clare. Maybe it's because he's older. Gabe is Matt and Nate's captain, and they both look up to him greatly. Although he doesn't seem to help Nate much in the romance department (that's more Matt's thing), Gabe does offer Nate some words of advice when it comes to Aria, because he's dated her before. Gabe is currently 20 and plays for the Colorado Avalanche of the NHL.
