Meaghan is a conservative city girl who traded sky rises for sand so that she could go to USC full time and achieve her undergraduate in Education. Generally a vivaciously bubbly and optimistic character, she has some true darkness inside her that not many get to see. She comes from a complicated and drama-filled family which she adores, however she's not always proud of it. She had perfect control over her emotions and life before Roger Miller entered the picture.

Roger Miller is the epitome of the American golden boy, by the end of his senior year of high school, he was the star quarterback for the Brooksfield Bruins, the captain of the basketball team, student body president and the valedictorian for the class of 2010. Growing up in Brooksfield, Connecticut, he craved something more than the everyday norm which he had grown accustomed to, making Elon University in North Carolina a perfect candidate for college. His ultimate adventure arrived in the opportunity to study abroad at USC in Australia. However, he wasn't expecting the whirlwind of Meaghan Janson to turn his world on its head.

Lindsey Martin had never been satisfied with what most would consider normal, she preferred the abstract and unconventional as opposed to the ordinary and expected. Being born and raised in Maryland didn't leave much room for individuality, even as volleyball captain and head cheerleader. She adored the beach, more than someone from Baltimore should, so when her coach at Goucher told her about the scholarship in Australia, she leaped at the chance. She quickly found a best friend and surrogate baby sister in Meaghan Janson.
