Meredith was a character who appeared in the book "A Story of Survival". She died of infection on Chapter 2 - Home Sweet Home. Meredith was an old friend of Grace who used to visit her every week. During the outbreak, Meredith was on her way to visit Grace when she got attacked by walkers, escaping with a bite on her left arm. She still got to Grace's house and either Grace or Susan help taking care of the bite. Later, when Nathan and Niki appear to warn them, Meredith goes with the rest of the family to Tracy's house, surviving Chapter 1. On Chapter 2, Meredith sleeps in the living room with Grace during their first night in the house. She probably dies during the night and comes back in the morning, attacking and almost killing Grace. Susan hits her with a standing lamp and Nathan puts her out of her misery, by stabbing her in the eye with a knife. She is then buried on the backyard of the house.
