Jocelyn Anne Parker is a deaf sixteen year old girl who was born deaf but her twin wasn't. She grew up sheltered from the outside world. She went to a deaf school for all of her schooling until this year. Jocelyn best friend his her twin brother Jason (Jace). He is the only member of the family that signs. Jocelyn does have a group of deaf friends, being with them is the only time she feels she can be herself. Jocelyn has a fear of hearing teens from the horrifying stories she had been told at school.
