After having a difficult life with her mother, when her father is released she felt relief. She and her mother butted heads constantly. Her mother always accused her of being just like her father. But all Cherie remembered of her father was him being a loving man, who would give her the world. She never once believed that he was a monster. So the move to California with her father didn't bother her one bit, it was chance for them to have a new start. But when her new start, doesn't start off so happily she slowly loses control.

Having got out on good behavior and their mother not being in the picture anymore, he was allowed to care for his children. He struggles with remaining a good father, and providing a good home. But when times get tough, he finds no options but to return to his bad ways. Sending his perfect home in the making, burning into flames.

David Oaken's younger brother, Cherie and Brandon's uncle. Recently released from prison on good behavior. But his behavior is far from good on the outside. Everywhere he travels, trouble follows not too far behind. He loves his family dearly, and would do absolutely anything for them.
